The week the lockdown began here in the UK I had been all geared up to perform in London. Instead of taking to the stage with my band, I took to the internet on my iphone and my weekly #hangtimeathome live stream sessions were born.
Sometimes on my own with my piano, sometimes with Idris Rahman on tenor saxophone, sometimes in association with different venues, the weeks have flown by and it will be Episode 8 already this coming Thursday.
It’s been really lovely getting to check in with everyone and to maintain a sense of community around live music. Come and be a part of it! It’s mainly a Facebook thing (/juliabielmusic) but occasionally I pop up on Instagram and YouTube too. Keep an eye out :). The Wednesdays on FB are a regular hang at 8.30pm BST.
